Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps the brain process unresolved trauma and emotional pain. EMDR can reduce the intensity of distressing memories and restore a sense of safety and control.
It can be used immediately following a traumatic event to support your natural ability to heal, or further down the road to release trauma that has become stuck in your nervous system.
EMDR may be a great option for people who are already meeting with another therapist / counselor and want to add this service to their treatment plan, or for those just getting started with therapy.
